Justin Bieber's Pro-Life Views

This story about Justin Bieber, over on LifeSiteNews.com, struck a chord with me today.  This young heartthrob of a superstar made a pro-life statement about abortion that really has the liberal media up in arms!  Apparently Justin was asked during a recent interview with Rolling Stone Magazine his thoughts about abortion.  Among other things, he had this to say...

“I really don’t believe in abortion. It’s like killing a baby?”

Whoa!  You can imagine how the people over at Planned Parenthood and other pro-abortion folk reacted to such a graphic statement coming from a kid who has a lot of influence over young people, and especially young women!  After more probing by Rolling Stone Magazine, Justin was asked what his feelings about abortion were in the case of rape?  Justin went on to explain...

“Um. Well, I think that’s really sad, but everything happens for a reason.  I don’t know how that would be a reason. I guess I haven’t been in that position, so I wouldn’t be able to judge that.”

All I can say is "Wow"!  I'm now a semi Bieber Fan and have decided to join the new Facebook Page I Love Justin Bieber's Pro-Life Views that has been set up for those who support Justin Bieber for taking such a bold Pro-Life stand.  I don't know much about his music, other than knowing the chorus to his hit song "Baby", which happens to be playing in my head right now, but I'm thinking I kind of like this kid.

I really hope Justin will continue to stand up to all the critics out there who are saying he's too young to have an opinion about abortion -- and then to make such a bold statement about the issue.   Standing up for that which is "right" is not an easy thing to do, at any age, in today's world where the voices of liberal tolerance are so loud.

Way To Go Bieber!

  1. I just became a fan! How many years before he can run for public office?

  2. Hi Kathryn
I totally respect any youngster than can be so candid about his beliefs in this way. I'm not a JB fan but my daughter is, so i think now is the time I quit teasing her about him!!

What is it about that song, Baby, that is so catchy?!! lol

  3. Probably what the song is about. We all remember our first loves and thought we'd never part from them.

I really like how he responded to both questions.

  4. I love that he had an answer to the question. I would just say that I don't think he's "too young" to make a statement about it; I just think that, precisely what he said himself, he's never been in that position so he can't really judge it. The only thing that bothers me about his answer is that it really simplifies the issue, as if women who get abortions do it because they want to kill babies, and not because of incredibly difficult life circumstances ... and that it again draws attention to the act of abortion instead of the root causes in our society.

I would prefer people stop focusing on the morality of abortion itself (women who get abortions don't like getting abortions; they wouldn't do it if they could have avoided pregnant or had the means to care for the child) and focus their energies on prevention, by improving access to education, health care, etc.

  5. Less than 3 percent of what planned parenthood does is abortions none of which is using government money. I am LDS and while I was a student and had a government voucher I was able to get a PAP smear and other yearly tests done for free. I am grateful for planned parenthood and the services they offer to low income women. I do not agree with abortion at all. But I want to remind people that planned parenthood is very different than they think it is.
